a teenager's journey of self discovery

Help for Teenagers

If you need a friendly ear, or some impartial advice

I am very aware of the difficulties of growing up and the stigmas attached to asking for help, or admitting that you have a problem or can’t cope.

There is nothing wrong with asking for help, and your feelings or emotions are valid, as are you. You deserve to be heard!

I will add some links here, as I find them, that may help. I will try and include links from organisations in UK and USA and any others I can find that reach out to as many countries as possible.

I am also available to talk to if there are no links here that you feel can help you, or you just prefer to email someone you don’t know. Sometimes, it’s easier to talk to someone who isn’t in your immediate family or group of friends. As a teacher I have been a listening ear to many of my students in the past, and I believe that teens and young people deserve to be heard and respected. I am training to be a Counsellor, so I believe I have valuable experience in the formal sense of training and in that I have formed such trusting and strong bonds with young people in UK and in Greece, where I worked for 15 years.
